Architectual inspiration

Being the lead asset designer for our team has lead me to research deeply into architecture, specifically of the arabic/ middle eastern style. I've also had to combine this with game research and characterurized assets.

This piece gave me a good idea of persepective and form, the washed out colours work very nicely and will influence my own pallete.

This image has in my opinion perfected the tapering I am looking for to create with my own assets. The wonky style works well as a cartoonized piece.

Very nice textures and nice detail, Dispater will have fortified areas ( good inspiration for that )

I love the wooden beams of this place, also when broken down this can easily been made to be a modular 3D model.

This is an image given to me by MR Beard, a past student at our university and now a tutor. This is very similar to the Arabic style we will be looking for in " Dispater ". A very good modular example.

Great tapering on this gate, I like the general chunky style ( very World of Warcraft )

Good tapering example. ( Note the chimneys )

Good example of large modular pieces.

This style of building almost begs itself to be cartoonized, with grand sweeping stairs and lots of external frame work it's a nice example for reference.

Tapering on the tower !

Example of a good clean model.

Love the stone work and the akwardly bent wooden beams.

This is a great example of what I will be attempting to make for our game, this moroccan/ eastern style is exactly what I am looking for !

Character !

Nice colour pallete.

These are the selection of images I have choosen to put here from my larger file. I feel these best convey what I am trying to do with my project in regards to visual style. Using these as a reference I will mock up assets to my own agenda.
